| 1/30/03 Freeport, Bahamas WORLD CUP OF FLAG FOOTBALL-4th Annual Deadline to Register is Feb 3rd Deadline is approaching for the 4th annual World Cup, as over 70 teams from 12 countries have registered to date. Bahamas,Canada,Cayman Islands, England,France, Gahana,Guatemala, Israel,Mexico,Uruguay, Venezuela, & the USA will each be represented in the tournament. Each night will have activiites at the host hotel, the Holiday Inn Sunspree. On thursday country vs country games will be played, and on Friday a captains meeting for the Open tournament and Opening cermemonies will be held at the Rugby Field. On Friday there will be a CoRec 4man contest, with a little twist. Players will put there names in a hat and a blind draw will determine teams. On Saturday the Invitational tournament will start, each team will play round robin games of two or three games. This will seed them for Sunday's Single Elimination playoffs.Saturday night will feature an awards banquet and Sunday will have a farewell party.
