Any Team that displays poor sportsmanship will be banned from the World Cup.

Dallas, TX-World Cup Qualifiers Kick Off
The first of seven World Cup qualifiers kicked off this weekend. The qualifying series started off with a bang as the Guatemalan girls from Guatemala City, Guatemala participated in the event. Only USA Teams are required to qualify for the 4th annual World Cup in the Bahamas, but according to Team Captain Vicky Mendizabal "We are just playing for experience , and boy did we gain some knowledge this weekend". The Guatemalan girls went 0-3 and will play again in the Tampa, FL World Cup qualifier Oct 12/13th.
Seventeen teams participated in the qualifier, four champions were crowned and all the teams qualified for the World Cup slated for Feb 20-24th in the Bahamas. In the 4Man Gold Division, the Gators of Dallas, TX defeated arch rival Rage also of Dallas, TX 26-13-MVP-Gators Corey Barsch; 4Man Silver Championship-Pro Bowlers of Royce City, TX defeated Finally Legal(Austin,TX) 26-0-MVP-Pro Bowlers Bo Lacey; 4Man Bronze-the Warriors(Winnsboro,TX) beat the BearCats(Fort Worth,TX) in Overtime 36-35-MVP-Warriors ; and in the Women's Final the Tipsy Two Steps(Houston,TX) defeated Grass Stains(Allen,TX) 19-13 with only 10 seconds remaining. In the women's 4man division four games came down to the final play including the championship game where the Tipsy Two steppers scored on a 20 yard touchdown strike from QB Vivan Kwan to MVP- April Sangalang with just 10 seconds just remaining to defeat Grass stains 19-13 .The Grass Stains scored with 40 seconds remaining on a 41 yard reverse to Sheri Litchford to tie the game before Sangalang's heroics. The Two Steppers started the scoring when Lorinda Tai ran it in from 10 yards out, the Grass Stains answered when Lori Prewitt caught a 20 yard bomb.

Dallas, TX-World Cup qualifiers
The first of seven World Cup qualifying tournaments kicks off this weekend in the Longhorn State. Eighteen teams will battle it out in the all day Saturday event. Four women's teams including a team from Guatemala will take part in the tournament. The Guatemalan girls from Guatemala are venturing to the tournament so they can prepare for the World Cup. Team Captain Vicky Mendizabal says" this is our first tournament, we don't have high expectations, but we want to gain experience so we can do well at the World Cup in the Bahamas." This will be the first time an international team has participated in a World Cup qualifying tournament. International teams are not required to play in qualifying tournaments, but several other countries are taking part so they can prepare for the World Cup. This years World Cup is expecting 16-20 countries.
The Top ten teams from each division of each qualifier are eligible to play at the Open tournament in the Bahamas in February. All teams from the Dallas tournament are eligible. Two men and two women will be chosen to play for Team USA at the World Cup from this tournament.
