6th Annual World Cup Extravaganza Returns to the USA

The International Flag Football Federation, organizer of the World Cup of Flag Football, selected Miami,FL-USA to host the 6th annual World Cup Event for Feb 24-27th, 2005.
Miami has had quite a summer, first they land the biggest star in basketball in Shaquille O’Neal, then they host MTV’s Video Music Awards and now the city with world-renowned nightlife plays host to the IFFF’s 6th annual World Cup in February.
Miami’s hosting of the VMAs seemed like a match made in heaven as the South Beach nightlife scene is known to resemble some of the hottest and steamiest videos MTV has to offer. But there is more to Miami’s nightlife than the stars and the club scene.  There is a new district that is emerging in the nightlife scene, the "design district" is in the heart of the artsy part of Miami, and even though its only blocks from the hustle and bustle of South Beach, the atmosphere is a world away.  If you are looking for something a little more low key the design district offers a myriad of restaurant choices and lounges that offer music from independent rock to jazz.  Just like South Beach, the design district offers opportunities to dance until the wee hours as the earliest places close is 2 am and once dinner is served and the plates are cleared and then the dancing begins.  In addition there are also places that play music that ranges from underground to industrial and gothic.  There has also been a resurgence in the Cuban and Latin music scene in Miami thanks to the opening of venues such as the Spanish Cultural Center and Centro de la Trova.
So when the world cup makes its way to  Miami there will be more to check out than the    South Beach scene, as thanks to a big summer for Miami there is now more choices and more variety for people to enjoy.   No matter what your choice of food or music may be, you’ll be able to find it in Miami and you’ll be able to dance the night away.
