Twelve teams will take part in
this Weekends World Cup Quaffing Flag Football Tournament. The Top
four teams from each division will qualify for the World Cup
Invitational tournament and will be competing for prizes, entry
fee and hotel rooms in Warm Puerto Plata,Domincan Republic. Men,
Women, and youth teams will all take part from 12 countries for
this years 5th annual prestigious event. Countries that will take
part in the World Cup Tournament-
Bahamas, Canada,Cayman Islands,Dominican Republic,England,
France,Israel, Mexico,

Cup Qualfiier
Twelve teams competed in the fourteenth World Cup Qualifying
tournament this past weekend. Over 100 USA teams from qualfiiers
have qualified for the World Cup Invitational tournament slated
for Feb 27-29th in Puerto Plata,Dominican Republic where over 80
teams from 12 countries are expected. (Only USA teams are required
to qualify for the World Cup)
In the 4Man Gold Division, Jacksonville's own Playmakers, led
by former Team USA Backup QB,
Mike Itani edged out Tallahassee's
Newmanns 19-13 for the Title and Free
Entry and two free rooms
at the World Cup tournament. In the semis the Playmakers squeaked
by MadSkillz of Miami 19-18, and Newmanns defeated GodSpeed 20-12.
In the 4Man Silver Division, the home town Knights upset
the field of entries by defeating Douglas,GA Ft Valley 20-6. what
makes the Knights feat amazing, is that all are under 16 years
old. The Knights registered for the youth division, but when not
enough teams entered they took on the men and proved they will be
a tough youth contender at the World Cup.In the Semis the Knights
edged out Georgia Fear 20-12, and Ft Valley defeated the
Wolverines 20-12.
In 7Man, it was all traveling teams, Teams from
Tallahasse, Miami,Ft Lauderdale and Panama City took part. In the
Championsip Newmanns edged out Alpha Omega 20-12 for the crown. It
was Alpha Omegas second World Cup Qualifier, allowing them to rack
up a total of 1800 points, the most of any 7Man No Contact team.
In the Semis Alpha knocked off Xrated 20-0 and Newmanns defeated
24-13.
